According to Kim Bum's agency on June 30th, the actor is confirmed to star in the upcoming medical / fantasy drama "The Ghost Doctor." He will be joining Rainin the drama. UEE is also in talks to join.

"The Ghost Doctor" will depict the story of two doctors who are complete opposites in terms of backgrounds, abilities, and temperaments. However, in the end, their bodies and souls unite after experiencing a confusing trance incident. It will showcase the heartwarming story of ghost doctors who cannot leave the hospital and patients even after they die.

The drama will be directed by "The Heirs" director Boo Sung Chuland "Live Up To Your Name" writer Kim Eun Hee.

Kim Bum will play the role of Ko Seung Tak. He comes from a rich family and is currently working in the hospital as a resident. He will work alongside Rain who will play the role of Cha Young Min, a genius cardiologist.

If Kdrama "The Ghost Doctor" will air this year, this will be Kim Bum's second drama for the year. He last starred in the hit JTBC drama "Law School" alongside Kim Myung Min, Ryu Hye Young, Lee Jung Eun, Lee Soo Kyung, and Lee David.

Kim Bum was also part of the 2020 drama "Tale of the Nine-Tailed" wherein he received much praise for his acting. This drama was also his comeback to the small screen after four years. The actor was also part of the dramas "Mrs. Cop 2," "Hidden Identity," "That Winter, The Wind Blows," "Boys Over Flowers," and many more.

"The Ghost Doctor" will reportedly air in the second half of the year.
